Contemporary living

rear-viewWhen an email arrived enquiring about polished plaster for a bespoke architect designed new build in a small village in Oxfordshire it was an opportunity not to be missed.

“From the minute I received the enquiry I knew it was a project I wanted to be involved with, challenging but creative and inspiring” says Suzanne.

The size of the wall meant it could have dominated the interior space. By working carefully with the owners, discussing colour and texture and providing lots of sample boards before starting ensured that the job ran smoothly and the perfect finish achieved.

The client described working with Suzanne. “We built a contemporary Eco house in Burcot and our architect planned to incorporate a feature spine wall, running from the top floor to the basement which was originally to be flint. However, this would have given quite a cold feel to the stairway.

DSC01303After researching other options, we decided that polished plaster was more in keeping with the light, airy feel we were trying to achieve in the house whilst giving it a real wow factor. It was also much more cost effective.

Suzanne did a fabulous job, taking great care over the initial colour selection with lots of samples and good recommendations as she has a good eye for colour and tone.

We had a multitude of different trades working on the new build, all organised via our project manager. Suzanne delivered exactly what she said she would, on time and in budget.

We are absolutely delighted with our finished polished plaster wall and visitors often comment on how attractive it is. From our point of view, it is completely low maintenance and pretty resilient to everyday life.”
